Vatican Day! Went to St. Peter's which is big. There's sure nothing half-vast about the dome of St. Peter's. To recover we went to the Vatican Museum and enjoyed the company of hundreds of other people on the voyage through the papal apartments and galleries on the way to the Sistine Chapel. We lost track of time in the Sistine Chapel. I think we had it memorized by the time we left.

In the morning there had been a huge line to go up to the cupola in St. Peter's, so we'd postponed our visit. Now, in the later afternoon, we ascended the heights for great views inside and outside the dome.
